Our shared values
While goals and a vision are for the future, values are for now. Values exist, whether we recognize them or not. Our shared values provide collective clarity on what our best behaviour should look like, both on and off the field, applicable to all hockey players, officials and anyone else for that matter standing or sitting on the side of a hockey field.
They can also help us as a hockey province develop an identity that is uniquely ours, that we can all be proud of. Living our shared values, particularly in the tough moments will require some guts, particularly when you see someone else not living up to them.
Our shared values are what we stand for. They are for the sake of our beautiful game.
Respect
We respect our opponents, they make us better. We respect our officials, without them we have no game. Respect works both ways. If I want it, I need to demonstrate it.
Fair play
In the game of life, sportsmanship matters. My team plays hard, but plays fair. We recognise that sportsmanship shows most in the moment when things don’t go our way.

Lead by example
I role model what I expect from others, on and off the field. In the long run, it’s better to do the hard thing, rather than the easy thing.
Together
Inclusion is our game plan. Hockey is for everyone, from all backgrounds. Living in an unequal society, our goal is to create a space where individuals can shine based on their abilities and their efforts.
